PROTECTING LIVES IN EVERY LOADING AND UNLOADING OPERATION
Ensuring the safety and health of dockworkers is a fundamental responsibility in every port activity. Yet, preventable accidents persist year after year, often caused by aging infrastructure and vessel designs that overlook the realities of working on board.
In response to this, we raise our voices to demand safer, more humane, and more sustainable working environments. We do not accept that cost-cutting and design shortcuts override our rights. The future cannot be built on precariousness. We must also find a real balance between efficiency and safety: optimizing operations must not mean endangering the lives of those on the front line. Technological advancements must serve people. They should aim to protect lives, reduce risks, and make work safer—not simply to maximize efficiency or shipping company profits. There can be no innovation without responsibility, and no progress that ignores the safety of those who keep ports running.
Through this campaig we aim to make the invisible visible, raise awareness, and promote real change. A change that not only facilitates daily work but also saves lives.
We are committed to
