The EDC was set up in 2021 and comprises 14 national trade union organisations in 12 countries. The EDC is a unitary, independent, democratic, representative workers’ organisation whose decisions are adopted by the General Assembly.
The EDC people
The elected Coordinator coordinates the EDC day-to-day activities and the relations with the European institutions and employers’ organisations. The Coordinator suggests European trade union actions.
The EDC affiliates trade union organisations participate in:
- the general working group moderated by EDC coordinator
- the health and safety working group moderated by the health and safety coordinator
- the equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) working group moderated by the EDI coordinator
- the commission of the financial control moderated by the elected representatives
The delegates of each trade union for each body should aim, when possible, to adopt resolutions by consensus.
